Who we are

Price Gap is a web application operated by SlimFit Apps. Our contact address is hello@price-gap.com. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this service.

What data we collect

Account data

When you create an account or sign in, we collect your email address. Authentication is handled by Supabase, which stores this data in the European Union (AWS eu-central-1). We do not store passwords - sign-in is via a magic link sent to your email.

Usage data

We collect information about how you use Price Gap: which pages you visit, what scans you run, scan results, and basic browser and device information. This data is used to improve the service and diagnose problems.

Billing data

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. We do not see or store your payment card details. Lemon Squeezy shares with us only the subscription status, plan tier, and a customer identifier - the minimum needed to grant your account the correct level of access.

Competitor shop data

The URLs you enter for competitor shops are stored as part of your analysis history. The product data extracted from those shops (product names, prices, identifiers) is also stored. This is publicly available information - the same data visible to any browser - and does not constitute personal data of the shop operators.

How we use your data

• To create and maintain your account
• To run competitor price analyses on your behalf
• To display your past analyses in your dashboard
• To send you transactional emails (magic-link sign-in, billing receipts from Lemon Squeezy)
• To improve the service through aggregated, anonymised usage analytics
• To respond to support requests

We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing purposes, or use it to build advertising profiles.

Analytics tools

We use Google Analytics 4, Microsoft Clarity, and PostHog (all loaded via Google Tag Manager) to understand how the product is used. These tools may collect your IP address, browser fingerprint, and session recordings. Session recordings made by Clarity and PostHog are anonymised - they do not capture the content of input fields.

We are working on implementing a cookie consent mechanism that will allow you to opt out of analytics before any tracking occurs. Until that is in place, analytics are loaded for all visitors. If you wish to opt out now, you can use your browser’s built-in privacy settings or a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.

Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in (set by Supabase) and for analytics (set by GTM, GA4, Clarity, PostHog). See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

Data retention

Completed analyses are retained for your plan’s history window — 14 days (Free), 3 months (Starter), 1 year (Pro), or unlimited (Business) — after which they are automatically deleted. Cancelled runs are deleted after 7 days. If your plan is downgraded or your subscription lapses, your analyses are kept for an additional 30-day grace period, so resubscribing with the same account restores your history before anything is removed.

You can delete any individual analysis, or your entire account, at any time from the app. Deleting your account immediately and permanently removes all your analyses and the product data extracted for them. Billing records may be retained by Lemon Squeezy for the period required by applicable tax law (typically 7–10 years).

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, request data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any of these rights, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes we will notify active users by email.
